Irrigation Repairs and Assessment in Las Vegas

Most irrigation problems don't announce themselves. A drip line sits on the trunk for years, a controller keeps running a schedule built for a lawn that's long gone, and the tree just slowly declines. We assess the whole system, find what's wrong, and fix it.

Why this matters

Water is the first thing we look at when a tree struggles, because it's usually part of the story. We see drip lines against the trunk every day. They went in when the tree was young and never got moved, so the water rots the wood at the base while the roots that actually drink, out toward the edge of the canopy, get nothing. Other times the emitters are too small for a tree that's grown up, or the system runs ten minutes twice a day and only wets the top few inches of soil when the roots live a foot or two down. Las Vegas soil is packed tight, which makes all of it worse. An assessment shows you what each line is really doing, and then we correct the placement, the emitters, and the run times so the water gets where the tree can use it.

Irrigation Repairs & Assessment FAQs

Start about three to four times the trunk's width away from the trunk and spread them out to the drip edge, the outer edge of the branches. A young tree with a 1-inch trunk might start about 4 inches out. A mature tree with a 1-foot trunk starts around 3 feet out and goes all the way to the drip edge.
