Drip delivers water slowly at the roots, so it soaks down instead of running off or evaporating, and it doesn't waste water on rock, pavers, or the trunk. Tree roots typically sit in the top 18 to 36 inches of soil, and drip is how you get water that deep without flooding the surface.

Can you add irrigation to a landscape that's already built?

Often, yes. During the estimate we look at what's already in the ground and tell you what can be reused and what needs to change. If the existing system is the problem, our irrigation repairs and assessment starts with a full check of how it's running.

Will the system be sized for how big my trees will get?

Yes. Emitter count and placement are based on the root zone a tree will have when it's grown. A layout that works for a 1-inch trunk is wrong for a 12-inch one, so we plan for the second.

Why this matters

Irrigation is the part of a landscape nobody sees and everybody depends on. Get it wrong at install and the problems show up slowly: a tree that never quite takes off, plants that scorch, a patch of rock that's somehow still getting watered. Trees need deep, infrequent water out at the edge of the canopy. Shrubs and beds need something different, and putting them on the same line is how both end up unhappy. We plan the zones and place the emitters for the root zone each plant will have when it's grown, and we run the lines before the pavers, turf, and rock go down, so nothing has to be torn back up later.
